I have been feeling chest flutters for about 3 years now.  I am 32 years old and have no family history of heart disease.  Sometimes I have months that go by without me feeling anything.  Sometimes they are light, but other times very violent as if heart was taking a break, and I can feel it all the way up to my throat.  This feeling is very hard to describe is like my heart skips a beat, like a spasm, like a suction.  It happens really fast, so I start to panic.  I feel like my heart is going to stop right there, but it doesn

The best way to get a diagnosis is to have a Holter or Loop monitor.  They will show the type of palpitations you are having but it's kind of hit and miss. You must be having them while wearing the holter or loop in order to be diagnosed.

Palpitations come and go, stay awhile, then go away, then come back, etc.  And everyone is different.  Mine came and went and then came and stayed.  Yes, they are scary but the majority of cases are benign.

See your doctor and ask about having a loop monitor.  You can keep these for several weeks and have a better chance of having your palpitations diagnosed.
