I came here just about a year ago. I had been to the cardiologist and wanted to make sure I had a list of followup questions when I went back for results. Just found it while searching for more information about mitralMitral regurgitation - chronic Mitral stenosis Mitral valve prolapse valve prolapse and regurgitation when my valve started to leak more. It has been wonderful to have some place to go and read information, share information, and support others with what I have learned.
I am very thankful for this resource as well.
Happy holidays to everyone also ... and thank you to the doctors who support the doctor forums!
I was having strange reactions, thinking from meds., started looking for answers on internet and found this site, signed up, and it has been such a good support and great answers at times and wonderful that Doctors are invovled. Being able to chat back and forth makes some of the stress from all of my health issues a little bit easier to take in, I don't feel so alone, sure I have my husband, but by the time he gets home, I've already had my (medical stess medicine), meaning this site, and I am not so down and out and we can actually have meaninful/lol conversations.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERY ONE!
My first visits to MedHelp came about when I was told my EF had dropped and there was speculation that it could be because of chronic PVC's. Since pvc-induced CM was rarely studied or documented, there was very little data available. My doctor said if it turned out the be an accurate diagnosis, in all likelihood, the case would be written up. That was the final diagnosis, but my echo pictures were not "good enough" for a medical journal. Although the case could have been written up, the text without "good pictures" was not the best way to prove the case. The pictures are what helps to tell the story (to doctors). So much for my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame : 0
I made some terrific friends on this forum and have found it very helpful to continuing learning and educating myself. Because my case was somewhat rare, I am interested in long term success. So far, so good.
Dr. RCJ was great in helping me sort through a difficult situation. Since that time, I have found it helpful to support the forum by helping others. I'm always learning new things here.
Thanks to everyone who participates and makes these boards such a success!!
