What can affect the outcome of an echocardiogram?

by navyard, Apr 03, 2003 12:00AM
Can such things as having a fever or having just exercised or being nervous affect the outcome of an echocardiogram?

Dear Navyard,

The transient hemodynamic findings associated with  fever, exercise or anxiety do not have an impact on the immediate results of an echocardiogram.

Thanks for your question,
