What could be wrong with me?

For the past two years or so I have had severe chest pain as a result of heavy exercise. I have undergone numerous cardiac tests including ECGs, echocardiograms, chest x-rays, and treadmill stress tests. These tests have all come back normal save for a mild thickening of the Aortic valve which did not seem to have any physical ramifications. Within the past month these symptoms have progressed to the point that I get severe chest pain just from walking a small distance or performing mild exercise. I have spoken with my general physician who thinks that what I am experiencing is a muscular issue that can be dealt with through physical therapy. She still however wants to rule out cardiac issues. I am scheduled for a stress echo next week. Yesterday I experienced a new set of symptoms in which I experienced chest pains that radiated across my chest, cold sweats, shortness of breath, and a pounding/racing heart beat. I am becoming more worried that this is cardiac and I haven't had a chance to speak with a cardiologist in more than a year. I just want someone to put my fears to rest. I know I am only eighteen and therefore it is very unlikely that I am experiencing cardiac symptoms.

Thank you very much for not chastising me for even beginning to think that I am having cardiac issues. I am currently seeing a psychologist and I will make sure to speak with him about anxiety issues and possibly medication for anxiety.

I hate when people go back to anxiety but do you have a history of it? You've had the tests and they have been good and your doc is doing the right thing by ordering another stress test just to be safe I really think you need to look into other avenues as well.
