It's an abbreviation for ankle-brachial index and is typically a measurement taken to predict the degree of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in the legs. It is a scale used to compare your BP before and after exercise.  It is usually performed by taking more than one measurement of BP at the ankle and arm, when at rest and after some form of exercise, in your case on a treadmill.

From the NIH:

>> If the ABI measurement decreases post-exercise, it may be an indicator of peripheral arterial disease. If the results are significantly abnormal, more testing may be required to obtain more information about the condition of the arteries<<

This is a fairly common pratice done on most stress tetsts, well at least it was for me.
