What is the best safest sleep aid in your opinion???

I’m currently unemployed but this sleep pattern seems to be continues problem.  I go sleep around 11pm at night than wake up around 2am and then unable to fall back into a deep sleep. I get up around 7am and go back to sleep at 9am in were I fall into a deep refreshing sleep and I then wake up around 2:30pm.  When employed I suffer from sever sleep deprivation since I am not able to keep my weird sleep pattern.
