Whats going on?

Three weeks ago i was sitting on my couch getting ready to go to sleep when all the sudden i had extreme blurred and distorted vision, numbness all over, tightness in my chest, and i was very weak feeling. It lasted about 20 min or so then went away. Last night the same thing happened. when i looked in the mirror i couldnt focus i looked blurry like i needed glasses and i also had all the previous symptoms. my pupils were larger then usual and my husband said i didnt look myself and my eyes where trying to work seperatly. when this happens i almost feel like im having a heart attack and im dying. I have had palputations for a long time but this has never happened. any advice would be greatly appreciated

It sounds not like a heart attack, but the more like a TIA or a mini stroke, or les likely a panic attack. I would suggest that you seek emergent medical attention as there is a possibility that this can recur or even worsen.

You MUST at least call your doctor ASAP and get an appointment and if you get this feeling again, call 911.  However, having said that, the fact the episodes last about 20 minutes could possibly point to a migraine aura.. you can have all sorts of weird aura symptoms and they last usually 20 minutes.. you don't have to have the typical migraine pounding headache afterwards.  Your symptoms sound neurological to me -- ranging from migraine atypical aura to seizure to tia. please talk to a doctor and get examined.
