When is pulse rate too low?

Please advise me whether I and who I should consult about a pulse rate going below 40.  This afternoon I had
teeth extractions and my pulse rate was monitored. Even before and during the procedure my pulse rate would drop to as low as 35.  Do I need to be concerned? (As I am). I have spoken to my physician before and he was of the opinion that this was quite in order.  I am using 1.5mg Eltroxin, prexum plus and 1 ecotrin trablet daily.

You need to be concerned if, when your pulse is slow, you develop symptoms such as blurry vision, lightheadedness, dizziness, passing out or near passing out spells. Otherwise, it may simply be a marker of high vagal tone, and not associated with adverse effects. But just to make sure at least have a 12 lead electrocardiogram reviewed by your PCP or cardiologist to make sure there are not underlying conduction problems.

i think thats awful low myself. mine has been inthe 50 but 35 really low i would call your dr.
