When should you go the the hospital?
I have mild chest pain and the beginning of difficulty breathing (due to heart problems).  Also, my blood pressure is irregularly high (180/110 or worse).  A nurse told me I should go to the hospital, but I'd like another person's opinion.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

You should have yourself evaluated for the chest pain. It becomes all the more significant because of your associated symptoms of shortness of breath. Cardiac pain or chest pain can be felt as a tightness and worsens with activity or exercise. This could be more relevant if you are a smoker, are overweight, have a positive family history, are a diabetic and have hypertension. It would be wise to consult a doctor just to be sure it’s nothing more serious.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
