Why No Interest in Alternative Therapies?

There seems to be a lot of information about Alternative Therapies from the Pauling cure for Heart Disease, herbs such as Hawthorne Berry and other vitamin treatments such as B Vitamins and Fruit Pectins.  How come I can not find a doctor that is willing to discuss any of these therapies/cures?

Dear Keith
Because most of the information is anecdotal and unproven and some of it is just plain wrong (and dangerous). However, there is research being done on the role of B vitamins and vitamin C and E in treating/preventing heart disease. However, rather than spending time and money on alternative therapies, it would be wiser to try to eat right and live right.
