Would a daily 80mg dose of Lipitor be equivalent to a daily 10mg dose of Crestor?

I had to quit taking Crestor (10 mg daily) due to changing insurance companies.  My doctor has now prescribed 80 daily mg of Lipitor.  This seems to be quite a change in dosage and the Lipitor pill is too large to be taken whole.
