ablation

i had the ablation done ..a week and half ago. i am wearing a holster monitor now.. to me it don't feel like it worked..i still and getting very fast heart beats..and fluttering. nausea  and very dizzy from it . i am wondering thou . how much could be my heart just remembering.. ....... i had gotten alot of vts and normally when i went into the er room .. they ran around like crazy ..trying to get me into a normal heart beat.. ..i had thought when i returned home after the study and ablation. i would be feeling  great...but i am not. ( they debated on discharging me , the next day because i had two events after the ablation )  If i would have felt the way i did before .the ablation i would have went to er room. but i keep telling myself all this is just in my head...... maybe it just takes time for my heart to heal... i really want this over and back to living my life again..... i am a 50yr female

i wore my halter monitor for 24 hrs..it came back that i was not having any more vts. but still alot of pvc and pac.   i am happy to hear that i am not having vt any longer..that was really scared. but why do i still feel ..like ****...dizzy.. nausea  and just plain drained..i used to be able to tell when i was having vts  with these systems...its been ..almost 3 weeks since the ablation ........

Give your heart some time to heal. After my ablation for a-fib and flutter I felt drained also. I came home from the hospital with a 30 day event monitor. About 2 weeks after the procedure I had 2 episodes of a-fib. It scared me, and the first thing I thought was that the ablation was not a success. But as time went by everything settled down. It has been over a year since my ablation and I have no a-fib or flutter. I do get an occasional PVC but nothing bothersome. Good Luck in your recovery. I wish you well and I wish you enough.
