abnormal CK muscle enzyme

my lab report came back "Total CK abnormal".  I take Crestor and do the blood panel every 6 months.  Doctor says not to worry, CK can be 2to 3 times higher when on a statin.
What does CK mean?

Creatine Kinase is released into the blood when muscle is damaged. That can happen after:
- a heart attack damages heart muscle
- exercise breaks down skeletal muscle
- some people take statins, which breaks down muscle

your doctor likely won't worry unless you also have muscle pain or weakness. But, you can try taking CoQ10 to help.
