abnormal EKG

I am a 56 year old female preop for breast reduction had abnormal EKG showing normal sinus rhythm, voltage criteria for left ventricular hypertrophy, cannot rule out septal infarct, age undetermined.  I am scheduled for echo and exercise Cardiolite stress test and was placed on 20 mg daily of Benicar for mildly elevated BP.  With EKG findings as above, are echo and stress test the way to go and if cleared with these two tests is that enough to undergo 2-3 hour surgery?

Speak to the surgeon and anesthesiologist about which tests are necessary to clear you for surgery.

Don't risk your life if the tests are not very supportive of the surgery.

That said, there's nothing wrong with having reduction surgery.  I have two friends who had breast reduction surgery (one when she was 18 and one when she was 40) and both were ecstatic with the results. They had been having severe back pain from the weight of their heavy breasts. They were also not happy with the aesthetic look of their breasts without a bra ( the bras would also dig into their skin and they would bruise under the weight).

Good luck! I hope you are cleared 100% and have a wonderful result

I would not go under a surgery if it is not for health reason, your breast reduction. What is wrong with big breasts? Most women would kill for them, or pay for get them bigger!:)
But if that surgery is a MUST, then I am sorry, I didn’t mean to be cynical to you! Hopefully others have more professional answer to offer for you.
