My heart 'skips' a beat all the time, however I have hypothyroidism and am being treated. Also, sometimes my heart throws in an extra beat. My TSH is now at 5 and still need to be lower. My heart rate is low like in the 50's. My Dr. said it is normal for your heart to do that, but I don't think you should be experiencing pain with it.
And, yes, anxiety can cause your heart to do that, and chest pain.
