afib ....... enlarged heart right side ,,,, advise please !

back in october 2010 i had a bout of lone afib that returned to normal on its own , on having more tests they fould that the right side of my heart has some minor dilatation on the right side (3mm) , i have had ecg's echo's mri's holter monitors for 7 days , a bubble study , and they have all came back negative  so no valve problems , no avrd etc ive had a vq lung scan and no clots also

afib is the only symptom ive had  ???

is it possible that i just have a right side that falls just outside normal dimensions
also i used to hit the gym alot and lift heavy weights and rearly push myself to the point where my heart would boom out of my chest could this have maybe caused it ???????

the only other thing i can find on the net is pulmonary hypertension , but there is no family history of that and i now feel fine ....... if im right PH is a progresive disease and i feel much better from back in oct , as ive lost weight and live a much healthier lifestyle now

another question was could free diving cause this as i was on holiday and did a lot of free diving just before i ended up in hospital with the afib could the underwater preasure and holding my breath have caused it ???

any replys from anyone with simalar situations going on would be great or just advise from somone who knows the answers

thanks mark

sorry in advance if this is posted in the wrong palce its my first post

It seems valve stenosis has been ruled out with an echo to explain RV enlargement. Given there is structual anomaly, the enlargement may due to pulmonary hypertension.  The underlying cause for that condition can be pulmonary emboli (clots), pulmonary vessel thrombosis or stenosis. A cath to measure the pressure is the best procedure, but the right ventricle according to your report is slightly enlarged.  The dimensions of chambers are estimates and there is a margin of error that may put your RV size within the normal range.
