after surgery

my husband just had 4 by passes 2 weeks ago.. he is doing good but says on his right side of chest it feels like 2 balls rolling around real real sore is that normal...... after surgery he had problems with his lungs had to stay on chest tube till he was discharged

If he feels unsure about anything, it's always getting checked out, especially as there were complications and as it's so close to discharge. There are a number of things which could cause problems and just a simple chest x-ray can eliminate many of them, and the rest through a physical examination or Ultrasound. After all, this is his life we are talking about, and we only get one of those, so I would make him an appointment or go to the emergency. NEVER and I mean NEVER feel the slightest bit ashamed if it turns out to be nothing, because it's all a learning curve for any patient. He has had traumatic surgery and is experiencing all kinds of new things in his body, things he has never had experience of before. We can't all be expected to understand what they are :)
