after thallium scan adviced angiogram

I had a Thread Mill Test. But as my BP increased to 230/110, it was prematurely stopped. So doctor adviced to have Thallium scan. Did the Thallium scan with TMT and at Rest. Radioisotop scan report (Tc-99m MYOVIEW): Stress images show moderate perfusion defect of medium size at inferio-lateral wall. Rest images show significant improvement in this defect. Conclusion: Stress induced ischemia of medium size at inferio-lateral wall.

Heart rate achieved: 151 (86%). Resting ECG Findings: SR, LVH

Exercise ECG report: The patient was free of chest pain. His eCG showed sig. ST (downsloping) more thatn 2mm in VU, V II, III, AVF, may be explained by LVH and severe hypertension response to exercise.

I am taking Tenoretic BP tablet for the last 5 years. But it's stopped three days before the above test.
Cholestrol is normal. No other issues. I don't have any chest pain.

Doctor is advicing to do Angiogram. Based on the above details, do you think I have a block in the heart valves. Do I need to do Angiogram to clarify that ?

Based on your findings I would say a cath is in order. You have an area of your heart that is not getting sufficient blood flow when stressed but improves with rest, this could indicate a blockage in your arteries and the only way to know for sure is to have a cath done. This is extremely important in your case. I doubt that your valaves have anything to do with this. It is possible to have a blockage without pain so please follow your doctor's advice and have the cath so you know what you're dealing with. Information is power.

Good Luck,

Jon
