Hello,

This depends a bit on the extent of your stroke and what effect it has had on your body. It is generally ok to drink alcohol in moderation, though if you have any difficulty after the stroke with swallowing, coordination, weakness, or ability to speak, or with cognition, these issues could become more pronounced with alcohol and could be dangerous. In general, I would not recommend alcohol until you are recovered from the stroke. I would also recommend discussing this with your doctor.
