marc,

I don't know what more to say, everything  sounds fine, your tests were normal and you age and cholesterol numbers make you a low risk. Assuming your BP is normal, I put your numbers into a heart disease risk calculator and your risk is less than 1% in the next 10 years. Is it possible, yes, but not very realistic. If you are having symptoms go to the ER to be safe, but the fact that Ativan helped makes it sound more like anxiety.

Again, if you think you are experiencing heart related symptoms, go get checked out.

Just Google heart attack risk calculator, there are several of them.

firstly cholesterol is not the primary cause for CAD. The primary cause is artery damage
and cholesterol becomes trapped in the damaged areas. The damage is either caused through hereditary genes, high blood pressure or very bad diet full of bodily toxins.
Let's look at your cholesterol levels.
"LDL is 52" which equates to 1.35 mmol/L and anything below 3.0 mmol/L has to be
achieved by people who have suffered heart attacks. Most find this a difficult target. SO, you can see how excellent your level is.
"HDL is 71" which equates to 1.84 mmol/L and anything above 1.0 mmol/L is considered as healthy. Your level is VERY hard for most people to reach.
"Trigs are 92" which equates to 1.01 mmol/L and people with bad hearts have to reach
a level below 1.7 mmol/L so your level is no less than excelllent.
So to summarize, you have excellent Lipid levels in your blood and I commend you on that. The advice I do offer is to stop worrying about your heart because stress will cause
prolonged periods of high blood pressure and this can start Atherosclerosis, the major cause of Heart disease. Chill chill chill, is the motto of the day for you my friend.
