hi, my question is :  the doctor change the medicine "verapamil 240mg." to "amioradone 400 mgtwice a day" is this medicine for me? I have a defribrilator w/ pace maker

Well the doctor must have had a good reason for changing. This is one of the newer antiarrythmics and is used when the others haven't worked as well as expected. The trade name of the drug is Cordarone and you can read information regarding it right here on medhelp. http://www.medhelp.org/drugs/show/3693
