anyone else with AF, heart spasms etc...

I just wanted to share that I had those for several years.  I also found out that many meds can cause these, including antibiotics and not so rare either as I found out...  Even off the counter meds, such as anti histamines, cough meds, etc...  Anyway, I suspected I was low on amino acids, and I took a pea protein powder high content in amino acids.  The day I started, my heart spasm stopped.  That was two weeks ago.  I have no interest in sharing this, except that often, the solution could be quite simple.  The indication for me to eat this was because, my symptoms were alleviated when I ate lamb, which is high in amino acids, in particular L Carnitine.

it could be that I am also missing on other nutrients, being on a restricted diet due to allergies.

I also know that if the vagus nerve is stimulated by for eg, ice cream, it can cause arrythmia in some,
and read about how having a bad molar tooth extracted put a stop to AF for a patient etc..

My advice is search for your reason for your arrythmias, there are no drugs really that will help, I wrote a short
healthbio on ADR-Central blog and started a new forum called health-quest which is a proboard forum.  It shows how an adverse reaction to an antibiotic can cause havoc in one's life, leading to to more invasive tests, and more meds, cascading effects etc... I have not taken meds, nor did take any when I had two heart attacks last year because of the heat.  I spent lots of time on reading and researching.  All I am saying is there are other options out there, worth looking out.  I think we are brain washed in wanting quick solutions to our health, but does not work that way.  Everything in the body is connected, and we simply can't treat one without affecting the other and causing imbalances.  Everything takes time to heal, hell, even a broken bone, can take a year or more to heal, if ever!!

I can't express to everyone how these spasms have ruined my quality of life.  I have had heart attacks and I am telling you the pain is no different.  I took 3 years of these to finally be actually caught on the monitors and diagnosed.  I have them at night that wake me from a dead sleep, much like last night.  I was up every other hour taking nitro.  I can walk briskly and not be bothered by any spasms, then be in a dead sleep and have them wake me.  I can have them just sitting and carrying on a conversation. They do not make sense to me.  And I am afraid that one day I will ignore heart attack symptoms thinking they are just another spasm.  Thanks for this info.  I will look into it.  Take care, Ally
