are diet pills safe, while on BP meds?

i been on metoporol for a couple of months now, and I have noticed thats its very easy for me to put on weight even though I am active person. I got to the gym 3-4 times a week and run on the treadmill about 30 minutes a day. Im still   not dropping any weight. Now I know its due to the beta blockers Im on. before I got on meds for my blood pressure I had a super fast metabolism. My question is even though Im on beta blockers, is it safe to also take diet pills (metabolism boosters)?

Don't take the diet pills if you have high BP! They will definitely mess with your heart. You can end up with palpitations for one thing and it will make things worse.

Just tell your doctor you can't lose any weight or you're gaining weight. Maybe he can help with the weight loss.

Be careful, metoprolol is used to regulate your heart, or so that is what my cardiologists told me after my open heart, how many times a day do you have to take the meds? The reason I say that is because diet pills will mess with your heart and your heart rate. I don't know why you are on them, and maybe that is fluid your retaining, don't take anything until you talk to your doctor.
