aspirin therapy

I am a 65 year male, 6'5" and 210 pounds.      During my last annual checkup my regular cardiologist advised me to take an 81mg aspirin rather than my daily 325 mg aspirin which I have taken for the past five years.   My EP earlier told me that if I can tolerate the larger dose, I should continue.
Shouldn't a guy my size take a larger dose than a smaller person?    What is the current knowlege about aspirin therapy, and does size matter?

The current recommendations are that any ASA is adequate for primary prevention of a heart attack.  As far as atrial fibrillation is concerned, full dose asa is probably better than low dose.
