atenolol can someone help me out

ok ive been on this pill atenolol for 14 days , am still very tired and have weakness, i dont want to eat, my mouth stays dry and i have diarrhea everyday, not sleeping good at night. bp goes up and down feeling very stressed . my dr says i can go of pill back onto timolol, this pill has stoped the flutters but, are theses side affects from the drug. my timolol was 10mg a day ,atenolol is 25mg, maybe its just to strong for me . any ideals will help

so you had the stress,nervesness to my dr says she dont think it cause it bit i cant get over the stress and tired and weakness. i cant take much more i think its just to stronge for me my bp goes 145/85 than 93/51 up and down so going get off of it i think i will feel better am taking it just for pac which have gone away but i cant take the side affects anymore its keeping me home bound and i need a life. its mostley the stress , not sure if pill doing it or me because of the weakness and tiredness .

yes I had the same symptoms you have it took about a month for me to get used to the medication...now I have been on a it a year and it does not bother me at all

Dosages, numerially, among different medications aren't real significant.  5mg of one thing can be equal to 100mg of another thing, for a loose example.

Your symptoms could be anxiety-related.

i just talk to my nurse she said that the pill does have thoses side affects guess some have them some not , but i know ive been on it 14 days and still dont feel good. she told me to stop it tonight and start back on timolol in morning , am sure the flutters will be back but i can take extra pill if need where with this one i cant it brings my bp down way to low. it might not take all the systems away some of it can be just me stressing over the pill or my life for last 3 months iam not sure but if i dont come off of it i will never know. so i gues its a trail and error, i like no plaps but cant stand the way i feel

i have been on atenolol for a year and have no symptoms...i was a little tired when i first got on it for maybe a couple days but that subsided.

I have been on 100 mg of Atenolol for 7 years and have none of the symptoms you speak of except for fatigue. This is only my personal history, and everyone reacts differently.
