atherosclerosis

i have chol of 180 ldl110 hdl 65 have never had high cholesterol.  i am 59 have calcified aortic and mitral valves causing regurg have severe subclavian stenosis with calcified plaque and aortic arch calcification.  how does this happen in the face of normal values and how is it managed.  what is the natural history of these findings?  i am normal bmi exercise and medicine controlled htn.  thank you
