My echocardiogram shows a two dimensional view demonstrated mild mitral regurgitation with mild left atrial enlargement. Moderate mitral regurgitation was noted and mild tricuspid regurgitation was noted. Pulmonary artery pressures were eledvated to 53mmHg based on the TR jet with moderate mitral regurgitation. Mild left atrial enlargement was noted with moderate mitral regurgitation. Right ventricle was enlarged to 2.6cm. Left ventricular ejection fraction appeared normal at 55%. Should I be under the care of a Cardiologist?

Yes you should.  Your mitral valve regurgitation could be underestimated and you may need a transesophageal echocardiogram.  Also , there may be conditions such as primary pulmonary HTN that need to be ruled out in order to better expalin the high pulmonary pressures.
