i thought i had posted back and didn't see it so if i did it twice i apologize..Anyway, yes my doctor is having a meeting with my attorney next week.. and i hope it goes well..I am a pretty good christian or try to be and felt bad for suing..But then when i started thing how horrible it was for 10hrs, and making peace with god , and seeing my 4 kids faces, is bad..if this attorney doesn't work, i will find another and i won't give up...I have realized that nurses have to listen to their patients and we need to be firm..And yo are right, record record record...i wish i would have had one in the hospital...i have a friend with alot of medical conditions and she records everything..Look at what happened to that poor women at that hospial that they ignored and she died on the emergency room floor, where you are suppose to get help from..How can those people live with themselves??
thanks again

If it says in your records about the "feeling of an elephant standing on your chest" it should also say what they did about it.  Since nothing was mentioned what they did about it should be proof that NOTHING has been done about it/for you at the time.  Give me a break!  Feeling of an elephant on your chest is a classic symptom of a heart attack, the few people I know who did have heart attacks all mentioned the elephant on their chest, women as well as men.

Did they ever give you any tests since then to see if your heart was damaged in any way in case you had a heart attack.  Like muscle damage of the heart.  Even if your heart is fine, what you went through should NOT have been ignored at the time.

Whenever a patient says she/he has the feeling of an elephant standing on her/his chest that should NEVER be ignored, period!!!  The nurse should report this to the doctor on staff immediately.

Since your lawyer is a malpractice lawyer I'm sure he will know how to go about this.  I think its a big plus for you that your doctor is on your side, and that it was noted in your records about the feeling of the "elephant on your chest".

As for the woman you mentioned earlier who died on the floor of the ER in Los Angeles, so much for "we have the best health care in the world".  Same goes for you, what you went through sure doesn't sound like "the best health care in the world" You could've died.   Thinking that the BP machine could be broke, but wont bring another one is unbelievable.  A thirld world country would have had another BP machine to check you out if nothing else a manual one.

I think my friend's husband got a settlement.  She died in the meantime, and he already got himself another woman.  No need for me to be in touch with him.  My husband never met him, only my friend.

There are audio tapes out there you can put in your pants pocket.  DON'T let them know/see that you are taping because then they will be careful what and how they say it.  Check with your lawyer if that is allowed in your state just to be safe.

Don't worry about the "suing" part.  You've a VALID reason.  You are not making up some story just to sue the hospital to get some money like some people do.

I'm glad that your doctor will have a meeting with your attorney.  That you have a doctor who believes you, and will stick up for you.

Look at all the dates and reports on your papers i.e. labwork etc in your records to see nothing had been altered.  Remember what I said a few weeks ago about my friend who died of bone cancer who was given pain pills and send home and told she needs to put cold and hot packs on her back, never running any tests as in a bone scan, MRI, not even an Xray, and she had health insurance.  After her husband finally raised all kinds of hell at the hospital they finally did a bone scan and found the bone cancer.  Her husband mentioned out loud "there willbe hell to pay", her medical records disappeared for two weeks and she was told "we can't find them they must be misfiled" when they finally showed up everything was changed, dates and everything.

BE CAREFUL!!!
