I currently take Carvedilol but it gives me terrible indigetion and heartburn. What can I take for this new problem? Are there other types of beta blockers that may be better?

Has your doctor decided your indigestion, etc. is caused by coreg.  I have been taking the medication for going on 6 years.

I am aware of the possible side-effects and watching as it is one of my medication.   SIDE EFFECTS: You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, tiredness, diarrhea, unusual dreams, trouble sleeping, dry eyes, or vision problems as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. This drug may reduce blood flow to your hands and feet, causing them to feel cold (I believe this is a side effect for me). Smoking may worsen this effect (don't smoke).

You may want to visit with a specialist rather than attempt  to self- medicate. It could be something serious that requires immediate attention.

Are you taking any other medication? I never discovered which medication was causing my stomach problems, it was a toss up between Aspirin and beta blockers (Bisoprolol).
I was prescribed a medication called Omeprazole which I believe is an acid reduction medicine. It worked real miracles and the problems all vanished. In the last few weeks I have since come off beta blockers after surgery and am still on Aspirin. I have stopped the omeprazole so I reckon this makes you correct in that the beta blockers must be the culprit. As I was on a different beta blocker to you, I assume most will give us the same symptoms, but it's worth asking your GP for Omeprazole or something similar. I was only taking 20mg every morning.
