blocked carotid artery

I am a 62 year old woman that has been diagnosed with 100% left carotid artery and40-59%in right carotid artery,my question is my vasculer surgion,does not want to do anything right now,I am getting ready to go back for my 6 month check up and I am sure my right side is closing up on me because I have developed this terrible tightness in the back of my neck(I think it is the arterys taking over to conpensate for the blood flow to my brain)as the day goes on,I am very dizzy and can not walk straight,and I also have pad,my legs become like cement blocks are attached to them,I am getting at the in of my rope as I am a very active person,I have been living like this for about a year and a half,I was wondering if I should have the operation on my right carotid artey sooner,then later(or will my dr. even do it)I just can't stand living like this any longer..I am very depressed..thank you..Linda in lancater ca.

Sorry about your situation. I think you should have a second opinion. Maybe another doctor would see you point and would do that operation you think you need.
