you have been kind to be frank with me before regarding my brothers health issues> my brother finally went to the doctor for an evaluation. he did blood test on him and my brother refuses to go back to find out what they all mean. his results where sent certified mail to us. here are some of the results.
total bilirubin 3.0  alk. phosphate 234 rbs 4.00 mcv 100.9 mvh 35.0 homocysteine 27.5 uric acid 8.2 chloride 97 total protein 8.5 sed. rate 25. from what i can tell, i think he is in liver, kidney and heart failure and if not seen soon, could pass on. do you agree or see something else that i do not see. thank you. and please be frank.

Dear debbie,
It sounds like your brother is being rather difficult.  Ultimately if he refuses to help himself there is nothing you can do for him.  It's hard to make an assessment based on a few lab results.  These tests do show something abnormal with his liver but there are no critical values listed.  It is possible that there are other problems as well.  You could try to see his doctor yourself and discuss his situation but his doctor may not feel comfortable discussing the results with you.  Perhaps if your brother signed a release form his doctor could advise you of his medical condition.
