calcification

I have written before, regarding constrictive pericarditis...
could you tell me what the chances are of the calcification
growing back on the heart after a pericardectomy?
Does it always grow back?
Does it never grow back?
Thank you for your answers.

Dear little,
We try to avoid 'always' and 'never' in medicine because there are few absolutes.  In most cases there should not be a return of the calcification after pericardectomy.

Excuse me for butting in on this thread.  I just want to say I am a PVC sufferer who has had a flub-flub once or twice a month my entire life.  At age 41, this flub-flub sensation increased to thousands of times a day.  I am back to report that 25 mg. of tenormin is working FANTASTICALLY for me.  I am more or less heart-twitch free!  It is great; no side effects from the med either.  Sometimes things seem hopeless, I am here to say this is at least one success story.  Happy and healthy hearts to all, Maureen
