calcified severe aortic stenosis

hi coul;d you please  explain  what calcified severe aortic stenosis is , whether its operable, and if not is there any other treatment available , is it life threatening ? i received  some results back from an echo cardiogram on tuesday which stated that i had this condition along with  significant hypercholesterolaemia of 10.05, it stated my condition was possibly bicuspid and that i have a reduced excursion  and transaortic vlve gradient of 73mmHG? the hospital have arranged for me to have an MRI of the brain as  in the past year i have suffered  episodes of numbness in my head and severe confusion, my CT scan was normal  which rules out a stoke so they are now testing me for complex partial seizures so i  also have to have an EEG i would be greatful if you could put my mind at ease  as my follow up appointment  isnt until next wednesday to explain exactly what this all means   has anyone else  had similar results ?
