Your score indicates some calcification in three of the 4 coronary arteries, CAD is not considered in the advanced category.

Pericardial effusion is fluid between layers of the heart's outer lining.

QUOTE: " incidental findings  minimal nodular pleural thickening right lung base    noncalcified 2mm nodule right middel lobe. can sombody explain what all this means?"

>>>>>>>Nodular-is a small aggregation of tissue located in the space between layers of lung tissue that has become thick or lost elasticity.

Commonest reason is the prolonged exposure to any metal and mineral hazard.Asbestos is the condition which is commonly attributed to the pleural thickening.

"Malignant(cancer) condition like Malignant Mesothelioma causes nodular pleural thickening in the lungs. The commonest reason(80 per cent) for this is due the exposure to Asbestos .Other conditions such as TB, Empyema(puss in the pleural cavity) and Radiation also attributed to this condition".

"While pleural plaques nearly always indicate asbestos exposure, pleural effusions and pleural thickening can be caused by other factors. Effusions can be caused by a number of factors, including congestive heart failure. Widespread pleural thickening can be caused by empyema (pus in the pleural space), tuberculosis, pleuritis, or hemothorax, as well as asbestos exposure. It generally takes about 15 years from the initial asbestos exposure for pleural thickening to be evident. Researchers do not understand why asbestos exposure triggers pleural thickening, but inflammation and fibrosis of the lymph nodes in the chest area is thought to play a role"
.
Signs and symptoms of pleural thickening can include shortness of breath and difficulty breathing with exercise.
