can anxiety cause a slow heart beet??

can anxiety cause a slow heart beet, the other day i fainted twice in the bathroom while i was trying to go, since then ive been having anxiety about my heart , the doc did ekg twice ,he said i was fine ,he said i had a vasvugel attack . last night i noticed  my heart was beeting slow  so i got anxious so i was wondering if anxiety can cause a slower heart rate . also ive had several panic attacks since the fainting episode

Not as far as I know. You may however have a cause for passing out ( either vasovagal or otherwise) and at the same time have anxiety about the process, and this is almost expected! If you are having symptoms when your heart is beating slowly then this is one thing, but if were not then you are probably simply anxious about what hapened and over-sensitive to your heart rate. Make sure a Holter monitor and an echocardiogram are performed, as there are some organic causes of passing out ( syncope) that can be diagnosed by these two tests.

Thanks , that did help i have a appointment on thursday, hopefully i can get those tests done , i think my heart rate was actually normal (60) but any change i feal now seems to put me in anxiety. i havent got dizzy since then . Is the vasovagal attack a normal thing? or only in some people?
