caratoid artery
My 92 year old father-in-law is having a caratoid artery cleaned out.  Is this a procedure that requires the patient to stay in the hospital and if so, usually for how long?  He is very healthy for his age other then this problem.  Thanks

No, usual stay is overnite. After surgery he will be in recovery all day and watched. Its more of a just in case thing. After 24 hours if all is well he will be released.

What would be the normal at home care needed after this surgery?  Can they wait on themselves?
