Sorry to hear of your daughter's condition. I answered your question regarding cardiac arrest meaning on the other post. I don't believe your daughter's diagnosis is cardiac arrest, as that event is almost always fatal if not treated within minutes of the episode.
You may be referring to heart failure, and that condition can be successfully treated.
Cardiac arrest means the heart has ceased to beat.
It is artificially induced during certain surgical procedures while the blood is diverted through a bypass.
Many cardiac patients experience cardiac arrest and are successfully resuscitated. Generally the heart goes into ventricular fibrillation and is converted to a normal rhythym by means of an electrical pulse from a defibrillator.
Unresolved cardiac arrest is essentially death.
