cardiomegaly

I am seeing a RA doctor, but when I took the exrays-they showed Cardiomegally w/normal vasculature. I'm puzzled because I thought I was swollen because of the RA, the Doctor says no because I'm swollen & retaining water not just on my joints but legs too. I knew nothing about RA before september last year and now I'm told I have an enlarged heart and Im fat. I'm a Christian & others are praying for me-but I'm scared & confused because I just got off taking alot of steroids to see if I will be able to take this other RA expiramental drug, & now this. I just turned 50 (i can't believe that) and I havent consistantly done excersizes because I'm out of breath & hurting from RA and now swollen -- wow I'm a basket case- my youngest is 6 - Im seeing a doctor tommorrow to get an echo cardo- what else can I do, help
