catherization or medicine ?

I am going to a catherization, becouse after my nuclear stress test, shows small zone of ischemia in the anteroseptal segmens and in the inferobasal  segment, the ejection  fraction is 36%,I am 75 years healthy woman, just only hipothyroidism, no chest pain before stress test, now I have sporadic chest pain ,I went to a new medicine doctor, he sugest to wait and be treated with medicine, I went to a new cardiology  and want me to do the catherization, I am afraid for all the risk I could have. I appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

I had only one cath.7 year’s ago. It was absolutely a must. I honestly think it must be a better way then took myself under that awful thing again. I never was afraid of the risk factor. I just hated the whole thing ,it was like an operation that I never had before. (Only giving birth twice.) The doctor and helpers were great and kind, so it wasn’t about them or their work but about the catherization itself. I had no complication all went well, also they gave me enough “drug” to be num, still thinking back I hate on the idea. Hope I never ever have to go under that torture.

Good luck to you.

There is an alternative to a catherization...non-invasive...  CT angiogram
Gives you an option before a catherization.
