chest pain after aortic valve replacement
My husband had his aortic valve replaced back in April of 2008.  It has been almost 6 months since his surgery.
He works construction and seems to have slowed down his pace a bit.  He gets chest pain but not during physical activity. Only after he quits and is resting in chair.  Stabbing pain in left chest area.  He did have a colapsed lung after surgery and for several days had a chest tube in. Pain only lasts a short time 10 to 15  seconds then  goes away. Not the same pain as before surgery.  No palpitations or tightening in chest. His doctors can give no explanation. Could this be some kind of chest muscle spasm?  Or could it be his Sternum?
