Hi Doctor, I had my CHOLESTEROL checked last year and it was 149. Triglyceride was 103, LDL WAS 98, HDL WAS 30.5. CHOL/HDL: 4.9*.
SINCE THIS I HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT MORE AND GAVE UP ALL MEATS AND HAVE DROP MY WEIGHT FOM 234 TO 216. I JUST HAD THIS SAME TEST DONE AFTER A 12 HOUR FAST(SAME AS THE FIRST TIME) AND MY SCORES WERE:(1 YEAR LATER) MY CHOLESTEROL HAS DROP TO 120! LDL WAS 73,HDL WAS 29.0??? TRIGLYCERIDE WAS 90. CHOL/HDL WAS 4.1
MY FAMILY DOCTOR SAYS THIS IS A GREAT SCORE, BUT WHAT ABOUT MY HDL?? HE SAID ALL THEY LOOK AT WITH THIS LOW A COUNT IS THE LDL?? THATS GOOD, BUT WANTED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS HDL, THE GOOD STUFF! SHOULD I BE WORRIED? PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT ELSE I CAN DO! I'M 41 AND I'M 6"2,DON'T SMOKE OR DRINK. THANK YOU. TIM
