I had mitral valve surgery 2 yrs.ago and have been on statins since then even though a heart cath procedure showed no blockages or placque buildup of any kind.My question is how quickly does or can blockage occur if I have high colesterol(I have had high colesterol(240-260) for the last 33 yearsof my life(58yrs.presently.)
