clonidine and verapamil dont mix ?

Hi: im new here and iv got stubborn high blood pressure - iv been on meds for b.p since the early 1980s and can not tollerate most of them and get very bad side effects from them all.  iv taken about 14 diffrent brands and types of b.p meds over the years.  im now on verapamil 120mg daily and spironolactone 12 mg daily - and night have to take now- 40mg verapamil and 1/2 clonidine pill  at very low dose - as my cardio doctor gave me that so I could sleep without nightmares or vivid dreams and spikes in b.p at night ! that had been happening to me - long term side effects from verapamil no sleep nightmares spikes b.p.    it was to stop the problem, however it interacts with verapamil and I can not sleep ! this has become a big problem now !! and the cardio doctor wont do a fricken thing to help me ! refuses to take me off the verapamil - or give anything diffrent to stop the effects ?  im at a loss - and cant seem to find any doctor with half a brain in his head ! who knows about medications and chemicals - its like they only do routine work and go so far and stop ?  then your more less on your own ?  left to suffer or die they just dont care anymore -

Sinus bradycardia resulting in hospitalization and pacemaker insertion has been reported in association with the use of clonidine concurrently with verapamil. Monitor heart rate in patients receiving concomitant verapamil and clonidine.
As clonidine(Central action) and verapamil act on alpha adrenergic system lowering blood pressure simultaneously causes severe complications.mentioned above.So Angiotensin Receptor blockers like Candesartan with Beta blocks and Diuretics like Spironolactone (.vasodilators, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, diuretics, beta-blockers) could help you.Though Beta blockers have an additive negative effect when used with verapamil but sustained released Verapamil could help.Basing on the clinical pharmacological kinetics of these drug metabolisms circulation of drug regimens and planning individually could help you to get relief from symptoms.Talk to your Doc about it.
