Some medical  professionals do not refer to anti-platelets as a  "blood thinner"!.  Anti-platelet medication helps prevent blood clots.  Being overdosed on anti-platelets can cause excessive bleeding.  There can be excessive bleeding internally such as a digestive system ulcer, rupture of vessel, etc.  I had chf and my regimen is a baby aspirin (87mg).
