constant heart pain?

hi, my name is jeff,

im 15 years old and im very actice during the summer or when it is nice out,  i ride a scooter profesionaly at skateparks and such, lately because of the weather hear in rhode island, iv not been able to ride since the summer. so when it is not such a good day outside, i just sit on my computer and play games and sit around. what happens is i get a sharp squeezing pain in my chest under my left nipple and , when this happens i control my breathing and take steadily  and slow little breaths, witch in usually 2-3 minutes the pain goes away., but when i take nice firm deep breaths the pain is unbearable, it makes me want to cry. but like said. i do not know weather or not this is from sitting around with no exercise. because when im riding i have no probelem at all,  but i am 15 years old i weigh 126 pounds, in good shape and actice in nice weather, also at the moment i am on an antiboitic also for this cold and flu of some sort that i have, just incase u need to know, , ,

thank you, please does anybody have sugestions, and i am new at this site?????

Sounds like a muscle or ribs out of alignment.  You can start by seeing a chiropractor to see if that is the case.  Heart related chest pains are usually in the center of the chest.  If chest pains last 30 minutes or longer, the person needs to be seen by a doctor for a possible heart attack.

It is very rare for someone your age to be having true, heart realted , chest pain. Chest pain is caused when the heart muscles does not receive a blood supply. This is generally due to coronary artery disease which is found in adults (and can cause a heart attack) or something like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy where the walls of the heart are so thickened they lose their blood supply. This disease is sometimes seen in young people, but if you had this at your age, you would know by now. What you  are describing sounds like muscle pain. When you sit in a position for a long time, the muscles tends to tighten up and go stiff which causes pain or muscle spasms. you are probably just fine.

What causes pleurisy?
In young, healthy people, an infection of the lower respiratory system  by a virus or bacteria may cause pleurisy. Pleurisy usually lasts a few days to 1 or 2 weeks. In very rare cases, the virus or bacteria may spread and cause pleurisy in others.
What are the symptoms of pleurisy?
The symptoms of pleurisy are chest pain and difficulty breathing. The chest pain usually starts suddenly. People often describe it as a stabbing pain and it usually gets worse with breathing. The pain:

May always be present, but it usually gets worse when you breathe in. You may avoid breathing deeply to prevent the pain.
Usually is on only one side of the chest.
May extend to a shoulder or the belly.
Is usually worse when you cough, sneeze, or suddenly move.
May ease when you hold your breath or press on the painful area.
