im a 44 year old male   been eating coreg 12.5 twice daily  low ef doc said was 37%  6 months later was 66%  coreg was keeping me tired an cramping in legs  so i just stopped taking it 20 days ago  lost 5lbs and can exercise longer but now my wife reads that stopping all at once can cause heart attack  but im feeling better than i have in 2 years  any advice     doc doesnt know i have stopped yet thanxs

You feel better because the Coreg blocks the adrenaline.  Now that you have stopped it your adrenaline is flowing making you feel great (like you can do anything).  The question is what is your blood pressure now?  If it is high, this will overwork your heart and hurt your heart muscle.  Stopping Coreg can send a person into heart failure.  Usually, it will happen within a 3 week period.  You need to let your doctor know that you have stopped the Coreg.  Coreg has the side effect of making people feel tired, but people who really need the Coreg are helped by it.
