Yes, it is.  I was depressed after mine. My depression started about 3-4 weeks after my heart attack.

I have read that about 50% of people will suffer some form of depression right in the first year after a heart attack.

My doctor put me on Zoloft and it was a big help.  I would suggest you talk to your doctor about it. It is definitely a possibility.

Hi dude, I post this comment to inform you.Me too I had consequence after my heart attack.It was about 3 or 4 weeks after. During this weeks,I was feeling really sick and I was not myself.So today, I found the solution to clear this problem.You can treat your depression with medication and psychotherapy.You can too consult a healt care professional and he can determine te appropriate option to treat your depression. In my situation I was going to consult a professional and he give me a medication to take 3 times per day and today,three weeks after, I feel really good and I take advantage of this situation to do what i want.
