diastolic function

On my echo report under measurements lvidd is 5.2cm and lvids is 3.6cm, but under findings says "LEFT VENTRICLE- The left ventricle is normal in size and systolic function. EF= 60+/-5%.The left ventricle appears normal in size. Left ventricular systolic function is normal." Doctor told me that study was within normal limits.QUESTIONS. If study is within normal limits why was not the left ventricular dimensions are normal in systole and diastole written on echo report? Is lvidd 5.2cm normal in an adult? What are normal limits for lvidd and lvids in adults?Thank you.Bob

Usually, the report says normal systolic function. Diastolic function is usually only mentioned if abnormal. The measurements you describe are all normal.
