difibrillator

my father went to have his changed they said that there was fractures in the leads so they glued them is this safe? thank you

LOU - I've heard of this being done. I don't suppose they would glue them if it wasn't safe. Asking the doctors would be the best.

lololsu - If you're using one of those defibrillators that are now available at airports and such, you can't shock the person deliberately. All you do is follow the instructions, putting the pads on the body and the machine reads the heart activity and will decide if a shock is the appropriate treatment. If there's no sign of v-fib, the machine won't fire off.

what happens if you use a defibrillator on a child whose heart is already beating normally and who just had a seizure?
