dilated caridomyopathy

My son aged 14 years now is having LV enlarged suffering from cardiamyopathy. it is idiopathy.

we are giving him carca 12.5 mg BD(carvedilol) and tozar 25 mg(lozartan pottassium). Although he is active and showing good responce. please tell me what is the quality of life. is this problem fatal. What can we do to increase his life span. what precaution we should follow. please guide
